Cast-iron cookware is part of the classic camping cookware kit. It’s durable, versatile, and great to cook with because it holds on to heat and distributes it evenly across the pan. Another advantage is that it can be used with many different types of heat sources, such as open campfire or gas flame. Usually cast-iron needs to be seasoned before use, but these are pre-seasoned and read to hit the road. Lodge cast-iron skillets come in a range of sizes from 3.5 inches to 15 inches, and are made in the USA.
